Dear Arts and Bridges Co-Sponsors ...

On behalf of the Interfaith Bridging Initiative, the Sabes JCC, and the Iraqi American Reconciliation Project, thank you for helping to make the just concluded Arts and Bridges project possible.

We've received gratifying feedback in response to the two Thursday evening events. Of particular importance to us: the perspective, shared by attendees of diverse backgrounds that these programs, far from being token gestures to good will, could easily become the launching point for an ongoing series of gatherings that step by step build new rapport, new understanding, and new possibilities for the interplay of art and religion in the metropolitan area. When we're ready to move forward with further venturing, we'll, of course, provide you with all relevant information.

         Finally ... two more points.
One. We hope that those of you who brought literature regarding your organization's activities were gratified by the response you received.
Two. If you have feedback, questions, complaints, insights, or other nuggets that might be helpful to our future planning, by all means let us hear from you.

The final performance of the October 15th event was a stirring performance by the choral ensemble, Partners in Praise. It seems fitting to say that, in the autumn of 2009, all of us were partners in praise.

                             Sincerely ...

                           Ira L. Gordon
